Terms of Service – Riblo Stories

Overview
This website (riblo.com) and all related services are operated by DTC Factory LLC, doing business as Riblo Stories (“Riblo”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
By visiting our site, uploading a photo, creating a book preview, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.
1. What We Do
Riblo Stories creates personalized printed children’s books in which your child becomes the hero of the story. Every book is written and designed by our authors and illustrated with the help of artificial intelligence, but every single page is reviewed and approved by a real human team member before anything is printed or delivered.
2. Who Can Use Our Service – Parental Consent Is Required
- Our service is directed exclusively to parents and legal guardians of the children featured.
- Before you can upload any photo, you must tick the mandatory checkbox confirming that you are the child’s parent or legal guardian and that you give full permission for us to process the photo.
- By placing an order you further confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have full legal authority to act on behalf of the child.
3. Your License to Us (Photos and Text)
When you upload a photo or enter your child’s name, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to:
- Temporarily store the original photo (maximum 15 days if no order is placed, or until your order is confirmed and sent to printing)
- Use it solely to create a stylized cartoon character and personalize your book
This license ends automatically the moment the original photo is permanently deleted (immediately after your order is confirmed, or after 15 days of inactivity).
We will store the book file 15 days after order is received in case reprints are needed, after this period the book file will be deleted.
We never use your child’s original photo or the cartoon version to train any AI models or for any other scope other then creating a personalized book.
4. Ownership of the Finished Book
You own the physical printed book and any digital PDF we send you. We own or license all underlying templates, stories, artwork, and software. You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the digital files beyond normal personal and family use.
5. AI + Human Oversight
Although we use help pf artificial intelligence tools in the creation process, every story and every illustration is edited, reviewed, and approved by our human authors and quality team. We stand behind the final content as wholesome and age-appropriate for children.
6. Pricing, Payment & Refunds
- Prices are shown in USD and include applicable taxes where required.
- Payment is processed securely by Shopify Payments / Stripe.
- You may request a full refund at any time before printing begins, or if the final book has significant defects.
- EU consumers: By confirming your order you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal once we begin creating your personalized digital content and custom book.
7. Prohibited Uses
You may not:
- Upload photos of children without legal authority
- Upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, retrain, or extract our tools or processes
- Use the service for any commercial purpose beyond personal family gifts
8. Intellectual Property
“Riblo Stories” and our logo are trademarks of DTC Factory LLC. All templates, illustrations, and software are protected by copyright. You receive no rights to them except the limited personal use of your finished book.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Riblo Stories shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. In any event, our total liability will never exceed the amount you paid us for the book in question.
14. Accuracy, Completeness, and Timeliness of Information
We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information on our site. However, we are not responsible for inaccuracies or omissions in the material provided. Reliance on the content is at your own risk, and it is your responsibility to stay informed of updates or changes.
15. Modifications to Services and Prices
Prices for our products and services are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any product or service at any time, without liability to you or any third party.

17. Accuracy of Billing and Account Information
To ensure seamless transactions, you agree to provide accurate and up-to-date billing and account information. We reserve the right to:
- Cancel or refuse orders if billing details are incomplete or fraudulent.
- Limit or restrict purchases made under a single account or payment method.

We may offer third-party tools "as is" without warranties or endorsements. Use of these tools is entirely at your own discretion and risk. We are not liable for any issues arising from third-party tool usage.
